[33] Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: [34] So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
— There are many things to do before and after wedding to get great results
— If you are slothful in doing them, you have poverty of peace at home

BEFORE TWO BECOME ONE: the following must be in place:

• SOLID FOUNDATION

Proverbs 10:25 KJV
[25] As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more : but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
— Foundation must be right
— If you get foundation right, getting other aspects right will be easy

• ADEQUATE PREPARATION
  Proverbs 24:27 KJV
  [27] Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.
  — Preparation must be adequate
  — Terrible preparation is the mother of horrible marriage

• AFTER TWO BECOME ONE
  CONSTRUCTION
  Proverbs 24:3 KJV
  [3] Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
  — Every Marriage is a Work in progress
  — There is no finished or complete marriage
  — Marriage needs continuous efforts, Continuos Building.

• BUILDING BLOCKS
  1 — REGULAR PRAYER
  Mark 11:24 KJV
  [24] Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them , and ye shall have them .
  — If you wait until when you have problems before you pray, you are already in trouble
  — Prayer ALTAR is the place to ALTER all the plans of the enemies concerning your home.

  2 — EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
  Ephesians 5:19 KJV
  [19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
  — Talk deeply, truthfully, openly, lovingly and positively
  — Talk to build not to destroy
  — Communication must be positive never negative

  3 — Total commitment

  [16] And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: [17] Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. [18] When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

  4 — Continuous togetherness:

  [9] Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. [10] For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. [11] Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone ? [12] And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
  — You are Stronger together,
  — if you want to go FAST, go alone,
  if you want to go FAR, go together
  — There is Energy in one, but there is Synergy in two
