Secret of a happy marriage
When you see a marriage that is sweet and full of happiness you will know because it will be so obvious that people will love to emulate them, but this does not just happen there are some secret of a happy marriage they practice in their own marriage
Husband and wife makes up what will call marriage.so there are some responsibility for husband and wife that makes their marriage a happy one.
Responsibilities of Husband to Wife.
- Love her. Eph. 5:25-33
- Respect her. 1 Pet. 3:7
- Be a good leader; a head not a “headache”.
- Honour her.
- Provide for her.
- Defend her.
- Nourish her.
- Cherish her. ( Appreciation , commendation and praises.)
- Accept her person.
- Never beat her; only beasts beat their wives.
- Be faithful to her.
- Be truthful and honest to her.
- Live joyfully with her. Eccl. 9:9
- Live peacefully with her.
- Provide for her future by making her your next-of-kin.
- Pray with and for her.
- Encourage her.
- Listen to her.
- Never deny her sex.
- Never expose her secrets to your friends and family members.
- Marry for life. No divorce. Malachi 2:14-16
- Never marry another wife. Polygamy is unscriptural. Gen. 2:24-25.
- Develop her spiritually.
- Celebrate her
- Celebrate her birthday lavishly.
- Praise her in the presence of your children, family members and her friends.
- Be proud of her.
- Discuss with her intimately.
- Be trustworthy.
- Be a good example.

Responsibilities of wife to Husband.
- Submit to Him, as your head. Ephesians 5:22
- Love your husband. Titus 2:4
- Respect him. Eph. 5:33
- Be subject to him. 1 Pet. 3:1-2, Colossian 3:18, 1 Cor. 11:3, Titus 2:5
- Honour him. Eph. 5:33
- Be faithful to your husband.
- Be loyal to him.
- Keep his secrets.
- Never deny him sex.
- Be his best friend.
- Support him. Gen. 2:18-25
- Be obedient to him.
- Pray for and with him.
- Appreciate him.
- Supplement the family income.
- Never be a nagging and contentious wife.
- Celebrate him
- Marry for life. No divorce
- Cook his meals promptly
- Never argue with him.
- Apply wisdom in dealing with him. Proverbs 14:1
- Be trustworthy.
- Praise him before your friends, children and family.
- Make him your hero.
- Encourage him.
- Support his vision, goals and dreams.
- Be grateful to him.
- Make a big festival out of his birthday.
- Laugh to his jokes, even if they are not funny.
- Apologize when you offend him; never be too big to say “I am sorry”.
- Accept him unconditionally; never compare him with another man.
