MARRIAGE TOOLS SERIES WITH PASTOR BISI ADEWALE – Part 5
In continuation of tools of great marriage series, another tool that is paramount to make your marriage great and last for a lifetime is DISCIPLINED EYES.
5) DISCIPLINED EYES
“Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.”
Use your eyes as a tool to build your home, don’t allow your eyes to move lustfully around lest you destroy your home. Keep the stare on your spouse; avoid looking at any other person with an ulterior motive.
Though temptation may come through any means because we are in a perverted world, disciplined eyes will help you not to stray away from your marital vows.
To make your marriage work, you must learn how to discipline your eyes, remember your eyes is one of the five sense organs.
What you see with your eyes goes into your mind and by extension influences your action. When you discipline your eyes to see things that will edify your marriage, then you are on the right path to making your marriage a great success.
As a married man, you must learn how to discipline your eyes if not you will soon fall into temptation and from temptation into sin and this may abruptly terminate your marriage.
You have to consciously train your eyes especially if you are working or living in a city like Lagos where it is hardly impossible to walk through a street without seeing at least a half-naked dressed (with nothing to imagine) lady. Many homes have been scattered and many are still having a serious problem just because of the inability of the man to discipline the eyes.
Likewise, women must learn how to train their eyes too. Beware of what you are feeding your eyes with.
Wisdom is when you see something in or on opposite sex who is not your spouse, and you get such for your spouse too.
