Good marriage is what every reasonable human will desire, but it will not come by luck but by adequate preparation. Although it comes with cost but the outcome can’t be quantify with a bad marriage. Listed below are what you needed to acquire a good marriage.

1.PREPARATION: Preparation is said to be the mother of good performance, many do enter into marriage unprepared,you need no prophet to tell you the result of a student who wrote an exam without preparation. Many are the married couples who are still single in their minds despite years of marriage.marriage is a life long journey adequate preparation is non negotiable. Preparation must be adequate in the following areas,physically,spiritually, intellectually,morally,mentally, financially, emotionally and socially.
2.UNDERSTANDING: To have a blissful home you must have understanding,you must understand gender differences, marriage, love, intimacy, love languages, conflict management, money management, parenting,in-law management etc.above all, you must understand the person you married; his/her temperament,personalty,like and dislike action and reaction,his weaknesses and strength.
3.WISDOM: Seeking knowledge is not enough,having understanding of your mate is not all you need,the most important thing is to to put this knowledge and understanding into use ;then we call it wisdom.to be wise you need to read a lot of books,attend seminars,go for counselling and have mentor couples this will help you to grow and become the person God want you to be.
4.TIME: Spend adequate time together with your spouse,marriage do not grow by luck but by spending quality time together with ones spouse, in fact time is the currency of good and great marriage.Good marriage is what you desire,time is the price you must pay for it,marriage can never be blissful if you can not spend time with the person you claimed to love.
5.POSITIVE ACTIONS: Your action is simply the architect of your marriage,if you learn to take positive action, your marriage will become good and great. positive actions like;appreciation;forgiveness, playfulness,acceptance,romance etc;are important for the success of any marriage
6. HARD WORK: You can not be lazy and build a successful marriage; no it does not work that way; you must work hard to make your marriage work,you must go all out to make it a success.
7.COMMITMENT: The success of any marriage is not about luck, no it is about commitment.no marriage can work on it own unless the parties involve are committed to it.yes they must be committed to each other,to their marriage vow,to their love life,to serving each other, above all to Jesus Christ the lord, who is the maker of marriage
