To pause a tape when you are listening to a recorded message may not be a big deal. After all, when you are ready to continue listening, you press the play bottom without any problem. This is not applicable in marriage, you can’t pause your marriage for any reason after you have started the journey with the hope of returning to press the play button, many things would have gone wrong before you return.

A woman got married at a very tender age with so much ambition and plans for the future.She decided that the matrimonial home will not be her priority for the time being while she furthers her education and study for professional exams. She said, after all she’s married for life and still has many years ahead to spend in marriage.
She did not consider her husband’s need emotionally, sexually and others. The man raised the issue severally with his wife but fell on deaf ears. Gradually another lady at work started filling the vacuum created by the wife and the rest is history like they say.
Many wives and husbands have done this ignorantly and some are still doing it without knowing
Marriage is a garden that you must tender daily
Any marriage that will grow, must be given adequate attention to ensure that it doesn’t lack the essential elements that make marriage grow.
When last did you deliberately create time to attend to the needs of your spouse?
When last did you have a heart-to-heart discussion with your spouse?
If you do not arrest what makes you grow apart, you will only wake up one day, to realise you have suddenly become total strangers to each other
Make your marriage a daily project
Identify the needs of your spouse
Make efforts to meet each other’s need
Work on yourself
Be a pleasant person to relate with
Forgive each other quickly and move on to maturity
