“CAN I HELP YOU”

“For the Lord shall be your confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Say not unto thy neighbor, „Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give?, when thou hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.” Proverb 3:26-29
Most household chores are done by women, while men are expected to provide the necessary finance without any support from the wife.
Some men love their wives and they can do anything for them except kitchen work, house chores and babysitting. On their own part, women are ready to support their husbands in as much as it does not involve helping them to pay their children?s school fees, electricity or, water bills, and so on.
Couples are ready to say anything to themselves- anything but not “can I help you? Its been very difficult for them to say it. Your wife needs your help; support her. Your husband desires your support; do not fail to give it.
Say this magic word “Can I help you?” Go ahead to help your spouse and make your marriage a blissful one, turning your house around to the glory of God.
WHAT HUSBANDS SHOULD DO TO HELP THEIR WIVES
v Help her in the kitchen. If you return home before her, jump into the kitchen and prepare a good meal. How she will take it will surprise you.
v Help her wash dishes, that cannot change your name to a woman
v Fetch water, especially when your wife is pregnant
v Clean the house- it belongs to both of you
v Sweep the floor
v Flush and clean the toilet
v Washing clothes (yours, hers, and the children’s, even including her underwear) is another way to help her; at least, she washes yours too.
v Carry the baby, especially when he cries in the night so that the mother can have her sleep.
v Help her clean the baby when he defecates, change the nappy or diapers; that’s what makes you a great father.
v Give her a weekend off when she will not cook or do any house chores. On those days, you will be in charge, acting as a „full-time house husband?, cooking, washing and cleaning just for the love you have for her.
v Do not leave the discipline of the kids to her alone; support her in disciplining the children.
IT IS NOT UNMANLY TO SUPPORT YOUR WIFE AT HOME, IT
ONLY SHOWS YOU ARE A REAL MAN.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO TO HELP YOUR HUSBAND
v Make your money available to help in the payment of bills.
v You can help in washing the car
v Wash and iron his clothes
v Discipline your children and stop saying “I will report you to your daddy”
v Spend any money he gives judiciously.
v Submit to him
v Pray for him
v Comfort and console him when the need arises.
v Make your body available to him; don?t deny him sex.
v Make the home clean
v Give him timely food
v Wash his clothes including his underwears.
v Appreciate him.
v Praise him
COUPLES THAT HELP EACH OTHER, CAN NEVER BE HELPLESS
