If you were not at the last Breakthrough for Singles and Married Conference with Bisi Adewale, you have missed a great deal. The meeting was explosive and phenomenal as the Marriage Coach exposed participants to the Hidden Tools of Great Marriage. However, you can still catch up with the refreshing moment as these series would keep you abreast of the hidden tools been talked about.
According to a wise man who once said: “only a fool will lack his tools” if you must be wise and enjoy a great marriage, you can’t but to have all these hidden tools working for you. Tools could be described as devices intended to make a task easier and fulfilling. The Expertise of an expert would become questionable when necessary tools are not available, no matter how experienced such a fellow is.
To build a great marriage, some necessary tools are inevitable. When couples lack the right tools to build their marriage, they begin to fight each other, destroying what they have many years built and nurtured and the marriage might be heading for a halt. Most times, we blame many things as the causal effects of the state of our Marriage. We tend to apportion blames to our In-laws, Money, Jobs, Children, and even the Devil, not knowing that the major problem of our Marriage is LACK OF TOOLS.
Although these tools are hidden, you must strive to unravel them if you must make your marriage great. Pitiable enough, many couples do not know they exist and never made moves to get exposed to them. Below are the hidden tools:
1) GODLY HEART
Proverbs 4:21-23
21: Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22: For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Your heart is the first tool to make your marriage work. When your heart is not in tune with God in your marriage, then your marriage becomes a place of battles and Wars. Your heart must be optimistic and conceive only good things about your spouse and marriage. You must guide your heart diligently against all odds that may want to decolorate your spouse.
Two spirits live in a man, it either the spirit of God or that of the devil. Hence, you must have a place for God in your heart and a place for your spouse through God. Your spouse must be the first in your heart after God. Think right about him/her always, believe in him even when things seem unfavorable.
You must believe you married the best, trust your spouse, and create the mind to love and care. Believe you married the most beautiful/handsome spouse you can ever have. No one is ugly, it all depends on your perception and mentality about your spouse. When you conditioned and configure your heart to appreciate what you have as a spouse through love and care, all other inadequacies will fade off, and be as though they were not.
Your mind is likened to an engine room where all processing takes place and by extension, it is the engine room of your marriage; use it rightly. The success of your marriage is attributed to the state of your heart. Select what goes into your heart as touching your marriage, never allow ill talk or controversial comments about your spouse into your heart lest it begins to process it and later acts it out.
When your heart is not consistently upgraded your life can’t but be downgraded. A renewed heart will only birth a renewed marriage, thereby making every moment a honeymoon. Know that the situational condition of your heart is the total summary of your life and destiny. If your heart is not in good condition with your marriage, your life may suffer losses.
I pray for a successful transplant of a new heart for you in Jesus name.
Stay tuned for the rest of the tools…
