PLAY YOUR WAY TO A BETTER MARRIAGE -Part 1
Welcome to Family Lifeline
I am Bisi Adewale
A woman once told me her husband is a commander
I asked if she meant a commander in the Army.
She just looked and kept quiet.
It was her son who answered ‘’No sir, Daddy is not a Soldier, he is a Banker, but a Commander- in- Chief of Family forces’’
He is the Lion of the tribe of our family. Very difficult and terrible, I can’t play with my Dad, the way Daniel my Friend plays with his. He won’t hug me, he can’t hug Mum, he shouts, makes trouble and hurts everyone. I’m always happy when he travels.
To have a good marriage you must not be an executive husband or wife; you must not be a Commander at home, but a lover and play mate. Make your house a place of fun and not a boxing ring.
Songs of Solomon Chapter 2 verse 4 says
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”
Don’t make your marriage a war zone, don’t make it a boxing ring, make it a place of joy.Build an atmosphere of love and joy.
It was George Bernard Shaw who said; we don’t stop playing because we grow old but we grow old because we stopped playing.
The day you stop playing is the day your marriage begins to grow old and cold. There is no middle way to it, you either play or begin to fight, when playfulness departs from a marriage, a wall is built, leading the couple to become strangers to each other. When that happens, they enter the irritation zone and start fighting each other.
Play your way to a better marriage today and make your home worth coming to.
