Different Kinds of Wives In Marriage-Before you can become the wife God want you to be, you must be the kind of woman that can make a marriage work, you need to develop your wifehood and become the woman that make things happen at home, a WIFE not a KNIFE, your husband’s BODY not his BURDEN, the heartbeat of the home, not the one that causes heart attack.Different Kinds of Wives In Marriage
Let’s look at the type of wives that are in town today:
(A). Possessive Wives: – They are wives that see their husbands as theirs only, no member of his family should move closer, she believes it is “me and my husband”, they are so hostile to their mother-in-law, they are abusive and make life difficult with anybody that wants to share their husband with them. They are suspecting any lady they see with their husband. Due to suspicious ,they can easily develop high blood pressure as they are giving themselves unnecessary problem in policing their husband
(B). Olympic Wives- These do not see marriage as a team work, they are in constant war with their husbands, they are members of “women liberation force” who believe, wives should not be submissive to their husbands.They fight for the headship of the family, contest every decision of their husbands.New generation of these kind of women believes house chore should be shared between them and their husbands (may be a roaster should be made for it). These wives are in constant “contest” at home, they see their husbands as rivals instead of partners.
(C). Iron Lady Wives: – These are women with big jobs, strong purse and fat bank accounts. Most of the time they are richer than their husbands, because of this, they made themselves the “head” of the family, controlling everything in it including the man. To them; she who pay the bills dictates the direction of the home, their husbands are like house boy in the house, children are given authority to do whatever they desire to do, since a house where a woman rules is a home without a ruler.Different Kinds of Wives In Marriage
These kinds of women are proud, stubborn and arrogant. They want anybody that cares to listen to know that they bought everything in the house and they back orders in the house like an army commander. These kind of women combines financial power with their sex power, they use it to control their men. They give only their bodies to their men whenever they wish, in the Bible of these women Eph. 5:22, 33 do not exist.
(D). Celebration Wives: – They love parties and celebration, they are societal wives, they are unfaithful to their men, they are always busy at weekends, all “Aso ebi” must be bought, all parties must be attended, either their husbands likes it or not.
They occasionally thrown parties for their birthdays every year, they always look for opportunity to celebrate.
(E). Career Wives: –These are woman who are more committed to their jobs than homes, they do commit their husband and children into the hands of the house maid while they junketing the globe as they try to rise in their career.
If you allow your jobs to take priority over your husband, you are digging a deep grave for your home and your joy. After God, your husband should be number one in your life, your children then your work. (Proverbs 14:1)
(F). Corrosive Wives: -Proverbs 21:9 says “It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.”Different Kinds of Wives In Marriage
A corrosive wife is a battle ready wife, she curse, abuse, criticize, condemn, strife and indulge in physical combat. They keep malice with their husbands, retaliate, can become moody for days, they don’t believe in cease fire or truce, all they know is fire for fire. They have caustic mouth, dirty mind and hateful character, “if you can not beat them bite” is their slogan. They fight virtually anybody around, from neighbour, to their maid (in fact they change maid every month), their children, colleague, and their husbands,were their principal victims.
(G). Gutter Wives: –These are set of lazy and dirty wives. It is better to visit an unkempt public toilet than to visit their houses early in the moving.
Toilet is unflushed, bathroom is stinking, kitchen is unkempt, clothes are not washed, sitting rooms like dunghills, cushion chair is stinking of baby’s urine, no wonder their husbands refuses to come home.
As they are among the poor, we have them among the rich, thereby putting their homes on “sales”.
(H). Veteran Wives: – They are not against their husbands and they do nothing to see that they succeed. They are full of old wounds, full of bitterness and resentment. They are veteran of many marriage battles. They’ve made up their minds not to fight again and never to give peace a chance, not fighting because of their ages and not pillowing peace because of their bitterness.
(I). Positive Wives: – They are normal wives, they are not fighting their men, take good care of their children, sleep with their husbands wherever they can and build at least a stable marriage but because of one thing or the other, they are not having the best of marriage.
(J). Ancient Wives: – They are old fashioned wives with Victorian mentality; they dress shabbily and look like great grand-ma, put on colour riot, tie wrapper to bed instead of nightie, careless about their outlook, most especially if they are not going out; their slogan is “who dey look me”. They are full of inhibitions and culturally believe that makes sex life difficult for their husbands. They believe sex must not take place in the afternoon lest you give birth to albino, must not take place on Sunday, because it is the day of the Lord, must not take place when breast feeding etc . They also believe sex must take place only for procreation. They are full of ancient mentality that is destroying their modern life.
(K) Kingdom Wives: – These are uncommon wives. They are extraordinary women of grace, full of wisdom and the power of God.
We can call them ideal wives, Proverbs 31 Women, 5 star wives, terrific wives (etc) they are rare, they are peaceful, they are more than positive, they are powerful, they are virtuous women, they are victorious daughters.
Who can find a virtuous (Excellent) woman, for her price is more than rubies.
The heart of her husband both safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life (Proverbs31:10-12)
THEIR QUALITIES Different Kinds of Wives In Marriage
- They are full of wisdom. Proverb 14:1

- They apologise to their husbands easily.
- Faithful and chaste.
- They love their husbands and children.
- Well dressed (Presentable and neat)
- They fears the Lord. Proverbs 31:31
- They are strong pillars in the life of their husbands, not caterpillars.
- They are meek and subjected to their husbands. 2 Peter 3:1-6
(10). They honour and respect their husbands. Ephesians 5:33
(11). Full of wisdom of God. Proverbs 14:1
(12). They are industrious Proverbs 31:16
(13). They are home-makers, home-keepers and home-managers. Titus2:5

(15). They are caring and romantic.
(16). They are diligent.
(17). They are obedient to God and their husbands.
(18). They are early risers. Proverbs31:15
(19). They are good. Titus 2:5
(20). They are of Godly characters.
(21).They worth more than Dollars and Pounds put together. Proverbs 31:22
(22). They are generous. Proverbs 31:19
(23). They make their home neat for their husbands.
(24). They give their husbands physical, moral, financial and spiritual support.
(25) They are prayerful and lover of the Bible.
(26) They do use their tongue wisely.
(27). They love and care for their in-laws.
(28). They invest their time, attention and affection on their homes.
(29). They never go round to report their husbands.
(30). They only seek counsel from Pastors and quality counsellors in time of
problem.
