Moral preparation is a must if you want a credible life based on integrity and fulfilling marital life.
Take charge of your sex life. It is a must. And the first step to it is taking charge of your mind. A wise man said, “Once you control your mind you can conquer your body.”
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil (Proverbs 4: 23-27 KJV).
Many people, especially men do think marriage is the best answer to lust and sexual sins. They thought that if they get married, they will stop to lust after the opposite sex. What a mistake! Marriage may not stop lust, masturbation and pornographic addiction if you don’t deal with it now. If you are not disciplined as a single person, you may never be disciplined as a married man or woman. You need moral preparation for your marriage.
Always remember the danger of sexual sins
Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death (Proverbs 7:25-27 KJV).
- Deal with lust
- Break the yoke of pornography
- Break the yoke of masturbation
- Learn how to manage your sexuality
- Have a pure view of the opposite sex
- Treat older women as mothers
- Treat women of your age like sisters
- Treat younger women like daughters
- Master the act of fidelity
- Master the act of truth
- Flee from the place that exposes you to sexual sins
- Keep yourself pure in courtship; don’t do it until you say I DO
- Pray against the spirit of lust, sexual sins and immorality
- Open up to somebody that can help if you are under the yoke of sexual sins
- Surrender yourself for deliverance if necessary
- Declare your victory severally when praying
- Disconnect yourself from people, places, friends, books, gadgets that make you vulnerable
- Give yourself to constant fast and prayer
