Divine Help for Effective Parenting

In other for all your efforts not to go in vain in raising children, one vital point you must take into consideration is that God must not be relegated. You must depend on Him totally if you must be a successful parent. Here are the last points for becoming an effective parent:

(5) Parenting by DIVINITY

Every parent must acknowledge that you need the help of God in fulfilling your mandate and you need to consciously seek for it
By prayer and study the scripture to have answer for every negative thing the society and media may be preaching to your children. The lives of your children must be given attention and taking as prayer projects which must be completed successfully. Except you seek for divine assistance, you can’t do it alone

Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

(6) Parenting by FAIRNESS AND FIRMNESS
Proverbs 19:18 (KJV)
Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

There are times to be fair in parenting and times to be firm, for us to get the best result in our parenting we must strike a balance between fairness and firmness. Many parents either stick to firmness which makes them to be too harsh and hard on the children while some stick to fairness which makes them to be too careless and over pamper their children

Psalm 133:1 (KJV)
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

You and your spouse must have common purpose and vision in raising your children, you need to speak with one voice when correcting them even when you think your partner is not acting well in relating with the children, your differences must be addressed and resolved in your bedroom between the two of you, the division must never be observed by your children, it affects your parenting work, the Bible says:
Proverbs 11:29 (KJV)
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

Remember you are both commissioned for same assignment to raise those children while then are you fighting yourself.

And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

The best you can do for your children is to build a great marriage, if your target is to raise “triple G children” ( GODLY, GOOD and GREAT children) then make your marriage work, love your wife and submit to your husband, let there be peace in that your house.
