Amara smiled for the first time, oh mama am not a guest now.
No I want to pamper my baby girl, don’t blame this old woman” she said, smiling
The years hadn’t really changed, Mrs. Peter’s and Amara noted happily that she was still beautiful as ever, she stood up and wrapped her hands around her mothers waist. well I won’t mind having this lady pamper me. papa had been taking care of you ooo, she smiled at her mother and kissed her cheek. Oh she had missed her.
she shook her head, oh you haven’t change” I have missed your meal ”
Amara knew she had no appetite to eat or what so ever but her mother’s meal can change that.
Mrs. Peter smiled, well you can’t get another mother who can cook well. She walked into the kitchen and Amara followed her.
A good meal it was and Amara couldn’t eat the news of her child being alive was still fresh in her mind and the thought of Kelvin’s betrayal, her fingers shook as she held the spoon playing with the food in the plate, distantly she heard the voice of her mother as it filled her, she had missed it for the past six years, she was the one who asked her mother not to do so. And now she wasn’t listening, not because she wasn’t interested in knowing how they were doing. The silence filled the room and she couldn’t lift her eyes up because she knows that her eyes would give her away.
What is wrong Amarachi? Mrs. Peters concerning voice filled her head, the voice made her weep; Amara shook her head not trusting her self. something is bothering you Mrs. Peter said, I can see it clearly .
The urge to tell her mother her problem filled her but she shook her head again, no it alright mum I don’t want to bother you.
Mrs. peter was out of her chair at once, what do you mean by that, there is nothing wrong if you confined in me, she pulled a dinning chair and sat down with Amara she put her hands on Amara chin forcing her to lookup, am listening.
Amara burst into tears at that, Mrs. Peter pulled her close holding her head with a frown. oh mama I can’t really say what am going thru now, she raised her head to look at her face as more tears came out of her eyes, my son is not dead he is alive.
Mrs. Peter almost turned in to a statue, her face became pale as she looked at Amara as if she had lost her mind. what…what are you saying Amara stop this nonsense.
Amara stood up from where she was sitting, it not nonsense mum” I almost fainted when I heard it today, my son is alive and he had been alive all this while.
How, how come?
Kelvin told me this morning, she told her everything that happens and betrayal, that wasn’t important now , what was important was her son.
Mrs. peter face grew more paler as they continued talking , and she was looking into space as Amara finished talking silence descended on the room suddenly she said I have a grandson? as though she couldn’t believe herself.
Amara nodded her head gently as she kept on crying, yes a grand son”
Mrs. Peter jumped up suddenly with happiness that Amara had never seen before. OH MY GOD AM A GRAND MOTHER” she grabbled Amara for a hug and started jumping up and down again, why do u look so pale my child this is a good news

Amara slumped on the chair, am scared mum I have always thought that my life would be good if I had my child with me, but now that it happening am scared. She raised her eyes to her mum, what if I can’t be a good mother to him, what I’d he hate me”? I have not been with him all this years, do I expect him to jump into my arms ? she looked away. I totally have no idea of being a mother.
Mrs. Peter sat beside her holding her hands and held it between her fingers, look at me Amara and she did,
you don’t need to learn how to became a mother, you ate already one she stated. you don’t need to train to become a mother, my child , u are trained on the job. Don’t be scared that he might hate u, even he does all you need to do is won him over. a mother never gives up on her child, and surely if her love is true the child will come around to love her dearly.
Amara eyes waters as hope filled her. You think he might come to love me?
Her mother smiled and brought her hands to Amara cheek, off course he will. he will love you very much, do you know when I found u ? She smiled shaking her head as she remembered. After trying for years, I had already accepted that I couldn’t have a child. Then, I find you” she laughed, you where so small and I have never seen a child so beautiful like that before.
Amara wiped the tears from her cheeks as more tears came down.
I took you home and I didn’t know what to do. I was in complete confusion, I didn’t know what to do, you cried a lot, she laughed and her own eyes becoming wet, I didn’t know when you are hungry or wet whenever you cried.
What did you do then mama?
I continued to take care of you the way I know best, I got some advice from dome mothers, but after a lot of practice, I became used to it. no one is a perfect mother Amara, love and determination is all you need to take care of your child.
happiness filled Amara as she hugged her mother tightly, I knew you are the best person I could come to mama” thank you so much she answered. I love you mum”

Taga looked at the police man as she shouted in anger, what do u mean by 48 hours? My boss is missing and you are asking me to wait till 48hours, what is wrong with your brain she shouted at them.

they were about to reply her statement when they saw someone behind her, she looked back at maxwell as he approach looking like the rich man he was, Taga hadn’t waited for him but ran into the station why he packed his car. Now noticing that the police men at him she rolled up her eyes in annoyance.
welcome Oga they murmured as if they were looking at a movie star. taga almost insulted them.
Max smiled at them given her a small wink before turning to face them, actually there is a small misunderstanding and I need your help in using your expertly to find a friend, she seems to have vanished and we are all worried about her.

Taga almost slump into the counter as look relive came over , the men notice it instantly, oh boss where are u ,u almost sent me to an early grave with worry.

oh boss we even went to your house and checked if you where miss Tina. right now, I and Mr. Babs are in the police station.
