HOW DO I KNOW MY PARTNER

1.       Desire. Have a godly desire to marry somebody that will give you peace. Please never let your desire be based on money, beauty, sex, position, etc, but on word of God.

1. 2.      Get busy. Get busy working for God. Never make marriage your focus. Satisfy God and He will satisfy you.
2. 3.      Pray. Pray seriously for God’s direction and against any demonic influence, rigidity, stubbornness, etc
3. 4.      Waiting. Wait patiently for God
4. 5.      Listen. Listen to God; never take a step without Him because it is dangerous (Rom 8:14).
5. 6.      Character. If you feel God is leading you, then check the character of the person. If it is not in consonance with the scriptures, then check your so-called “God’s directive”.
6. 7.      Check Love. Are you in love with the person, the person do not meet your standard, or God is not leading you. If you are sure God is leading you, then wait till love is developed.
7. 8.      Counsel. Even if you are sure God is leading you, do not go ahead into that relationship without counsel. Share your conviction with your pastor or a Christian marriage counsellor. Listen to them and do whatever you are asked to do.
