Family Lifeline With Bisi Adewale (episode 58) Guard Your Garden
Read text below
Welcome to Family Lifeline
I am Bisi Adewale.
When I was young, my siblings and I planted a garden at the back of our Father’s house. We planted different things in the garden ranging from corn; tomatoes and other crops. It was a garden we all cherished.
Before going to school in the morning we always visit the garden and when we returned we will surely head to our garden. We were so passionate about it.
One day, one of us forgot to lock the wooden gate that leads to the garden. When we got there, we met goats feasting on the crops. We were annoyed and heartbroken. Then we began to fight one another, passing the buck for failing to lock the door. No one even bothered to chase the goats out of the garden as we were engulfed in the blame game.
Dear listener,
Do you know there are many plants in the good garden called marriage and family which you fail to protect? Many times, we leave the garden unlocked, unprotected and vulnerable as we pursue the good things in life.
When we discover intruders in our garden, instead of fighting for our marriage and chase these intruders out of our homes, we begin to point accusing fingers, blaming each other for what went wrong instead of looking for the solution.
Listen to the audio here:
Are you in a needless fight in your marriage? Are you allowing family and friends to invade your marriage and family? Do you always look for whom to blame when things go wrong?
No marriage can survive the blame game, no family can be better with the spirit of contention in operation. Stop that fight; rise to protect your garden. Maybe you have been keeping malice for some time now; it’s time to be mature and protect your marriage.
Return to make your marriage work today
I am Bisi Adewale
Have a blissful day
