Though, marriage is a place of fun and humour but it’s never a place to take your spouse for granted. Many women want their husbands to love them ‘blindly or foolishly’ and overlook those destructive habits in them that can utterly put their family in jeopardy. Love does not hold on to wrong doings but then, as a woman, there are some things you do that if they are not corrected on time; they will not only destroy you but also your marriage and as well your family (Children inclusive).
If your husband keeps complaining about a particular thing you do and you overlook it thinking he doesn’t understand, this is as good as writing letter to problems.
Some of the wrong things women do are as follows;
- NAGGING: men usually get pissed off by this attitude and the funny thing is that these days, women have started complaining about men doing it too and they are not comfortable with it. I will say this is good because it will make you understand why your husband usually feels bad when you nag. To him too, it’s as if you want to chase him out of the house because he sees it as harassment. Learn to communicate not nag.
- SITTING ALL DAY WATCHING TELEVISION & UNWHOLESOME PURCHASE OF ASO-EBI: some women are nothing close to virtuous but an Africa Magic woman. They know the time for every programme because it is from Yoruba to English and other stations on DSTV. It is as if DSTV was made because of them. Some go as far as burning food and forgetting their children in school because they were busy with Telemundo. You need deliverance if you fall into this category! What about Aso-Ebi (Occasion’s Uniform)? I’ve heard of a woman who used part of her children’s school fees to purchase cloth. A time came that the children were being chased out of the school to go and collect their school fees. The husband was around and as well surprised, it took the intervention of godly people for that home to survive that singular act of foolishness from the woman’s side. I will say to you, set your priorities right. It will help you curb unnecessary appetite for things that can destroy your home.
- INABILITY TO MULTI-TASK: if you are a woman and you cannot multi-task, permit me to say you don’t know God. I came to the understanding of this truth recently that women were moulded to Multi-Task. So, if you can’t, you are failing. Remember Eve, after God formed her from the man; he said help this man achieve everything I have told him to do. Adam had a lot of things God committed into his hands and only Eve was to be the helpmeet. Genesis 2:18
- DRESSING SHABBILY: some women when they dress can be easily taken for a Masquerade. The way they combine colours can make any man go blind because of the way it will be ‘biting’ the eyes. I will advise you in my own opinion if you are this bad, google can be your true friend at any time or you humble yourself to learn about colour combination from Experts. If not, just continue wearing anything on black. It will save you a lot.
- LACK OF LOVE FOR YOUR MOTHER-IN-LAW: if you can’t love his mother, why did you marry him in the first place? A man you so passionately hates his mother can never love you. You want to win his heart, sing his mother’s praise and celebrate her. You must know that to enjoy your home, your Mother-in-law must be seen, related to and treated as your biological Mother.
As a woman, don’t be the terrorist militating against your marriage.
If as a woman, you display any of these, change your ways so that you can enjoy your marriage.
