WHAT EVERY WIFE MUST DO TO HELP THEIR HUSBANDS
Bisi Adewale
“She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life”.
Proverbs 31:12
One of the major reasons God created a woman is to do her husband good, to make him prosper, to help, support and stand by him as they fulfil their God-given purpose together.
“And God said, it is not good that the man should be alone, I will make him an helpmeet for him”. Genesis 2:18.
God did not just give a companion to Adam; He gave life-support, a destiny helper, prosperity booster and somebody who will do him good. Your major duty on earth is to make your husband succeed and to make your children prosper. As a godly woman, do everything to ensure your husband becomes the best. Stand by him to make him known at the gate when he sits among the elders of the land (Proverbs 31:23)
Make it your plan, your vision in life, to see your husband succeed by all means.
What makes a quality wife and a virtuous woman is her exemplary characters. That is what will make “her children arise up and call her blessed, her husband also will praise her”. Proverbs 31:28.
Let your motto in life be “My husband must prosper”. Let Proverbs 31:12 be your watchword.
Women who stand by their husbands through thick and thin do enjoy the rest of their lives with them when they succeed. They become the pride of their nation. Do the following:
- Pray for him. Make your husband your prayer project. Pray for him to breakthrough, succeed and fulfil his destiny. Cover him daily with your prayers. This is one of the greatest things you can do for your husband.
- Stand by him. The fear of failure a man experience reduces if he knows he has a wife who will always stand by him. He will be bold enough to face his world and conquer. He will be courageous enough to dare great things and succeed. Don’t you ever be a fair-weather wife; be a wife in season and out of season. Stand by your husband regardless of his state in life. That is the attribute of a quality wife.
- Protect Him. Assume the position of the gatekeeper for your family;by protecting your husband and children. Fight the battles on your knees as you take your family to God constantly and continuously.
- Support Him. Give your 100% support to your husband. Be a pillar inhis life, be there for him, stand with him, be his “helpmeet”. Always remember that “two are better than one”.
- Value him. Don’t wait till he succeeds before you begin to value him. Ifyou want him to succeed, begin to value him. Tell him you value him, show him you do. Don’t just say I love you, say “I value you”, “I honour you”. The number one need of most men is respect; give it to your husband.
