In recent time, a lot of people are getting confused about the things that happen in their relationship and they tend to find fault in the other person. A relationship is about two people and the truth is no one can really successfully deceive you if you are not deceiving yourself. Commitment is one of the heartbeats of a relationship, if there is no commitment, then there is no relationship. How then can you know if a person is committed to you or not?
Here are seven sure ways to know;
- GENUINE LOVE FOR GOD: a person that has a heart for God will surely have a heart for you because that is an evidence that he/she puts God first. So, he/she has set priority right and will always seek to please God by staying committed to you as a sign of his/her commitment to God.
- GENUINE LOVE FOR YOU: anyone that truly loves God will never get it wrong in loving you because his/her first allegiance is to God.
- HEART OF SACRIFICE: this is very important in any relationship, the person must be ready to make sacrifices for you at any time. You will be the next after God. He/she will always seek your good whether convenient or not. He/she will be ready to sacrifice time, energy, money, interest and best for you
- TRUST: this is another very important quality anyone that claims to love you must show. Whether you are together or not, he/she must trust you and be ready to defend you come what may. Without trust, no relationship will stand.
- INTEREST IN YOUR VISION AND CAREER: there must be real interest and care about your vision and career. What drives you must drive him/her so that there won’t be a clash of interest. There must be full understanding of your purpose so that you both can know how to be each other’s number one fan
- TRUE LOVE FOR YOUR FAMILY: anyone that says he/she is committed to you, must as well be committed to loving your family deeply. Be sure that he/she respects your people.
- PRAYER: Above all, ask God who knows the intent of the heart of man to show you his/her true picture.
These are the ways to be sure of your partner’s commitment before you go too far and get jilted which could be painful.
