PASTORS’ WIVES AS MANAGER AT HOME
Pastors’ Wives are very important to the success of their Husbands in life and Ministry, they need to learn to be a great manager at home to make things easier so that their husbands can run the ministry smoothly.
Proverbs 27:23
Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
Proverbs 31:27
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
FACTS TO KNOW
— A pastor wife may not be a Pastor, but she is a manager at home
— A pastor’s wife may not be a Pastor (Mrs) but she is a Mrs of a Pastor, so she is very important to the success or otherwise of the work in the Church her husband pastor.
— If she stand rightly home, she will be a pillar of support to her husband in the ministry.
— Failure to manage well at home will affect her relationship with her husband and even the Church of God
PRINCIPAL THINGS TO MANAGE AS A PASTOR’S WIFE
1) YOUR CHILDREN
You are to manage your Children and cover up for your husband as he goes around in the work of the ministry.
These you can do in the following ways:
*** Teaching: Teach them the way of The Lord, domestic work, respect for authority, Love for God, fear of God, honesty, Godly Character, Diligence etc.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 KJV
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: [7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
*** Training: Don’t just teach them but train them, be practical about it, don’t just say it, show it, lead by example.
(Proverbs 22:6)
*** Prayer: One of the Major things you can do for your Children is to pray for them.
(Mark 11:34)
A child of many prayers cannot go astray
A child bath in many prayers can never go dirty.
You need to learn to cover the heads of your Children in Battle, pray for them
2) YOUR FAMILY FINANCE
Proverbs 21:20 KJV
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
MASTER THE 4 M’s OF MONEY
— MAKE IT: Know how to do profitable thing that brings money to your family, don’t be lazy or a liability.
— MATURE WITH IT: Get financial intelligence, read books about money management, be a better money manager.
— MANAGE IT: Learn how to manage your income the way that there will be no wastage.
Proverbs 21:17 He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
You must learn to manage money well by budgeting it, save it and spend it rightly
— MAXIMIZE IT: Don’t just manage it but learn how to increase your money, turn your income to seeds that will grow to big harvest, learn to maximize money that comes your way.
3) YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR HUSBAND
Proverbs 31:10-12
10] Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11] The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12] She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
To manage your relationship with your husband you need to remember the following:
— He is manager and leader of the people
— You may not have him all to yourself the way other wives do, he will need to attend to people at your expense a times.
— Number one need of your husband is Respect
— Number two need of your husband is Sex.
— Number Three need of your husband is strong support for his calling
— Number four need of your husband is good food. You just be a great cook
— Number five need of your Husband is Good look. You must look good for him
