PARENTING FOUNDATIONS IN A DIGITAL AGE

if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalms 11:3 KJV)
To be a successful parent there are many things that must be done, if we don’t do them well parenting Godly Children may be a very difficult task. All these things that we suppose to do as Parents are what I call parenting foundations. I will be mentioning nine of them in this piece. They are:
1) SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV)
– Your spiritual life is the foundation of your parenting work
– If you are lukewarm you may raise a set of spiritually dead Children
– If you are a bench warmer in Church your Children may never go to Church tomorrow
2) MARITAL FOUNDATION
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. (Proverbs 31:28 KJV)
– Your marriage is the nest in which your Children will be hatch.
– You can’t be a good mother and father until you are a good Wife and husband
– when you keep your marriage, you are preserving the destiny of Children
– A bad marriage will make your children live like refuge in their own house.
– The best gift a mother can give to her Children is to submit, honor and respect their father.
– The best gift a Man can give to his Children is to love, care, provide and protect their mother.
– Do your Children a favor build a better marriage, never divorce or separate from your spouse.
3) PRAYER FOUNDATION
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, (Galatians 4:19 KJV)
— YOUR CHILDREN MAY REJECT YOUR TRAINING, ABHOR YOUR CORRECTION, DISDAIN YOUR INSTRUCTION, CONTEND WITH YOUR LEADERSHIP, OBJECT TO YOUR ADVISE AND OPPOSE YOUR AUTHORITY BUT THEY ARE POWERLESS IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR PRAYER.
— You can’t pray too much for your Children you can only pray too little.
— Persistent prayer is the key to the success of your Children
— A child bath in many prayers can never go dirty.
— A Child of many prayers can never go astray.
— One parenting duty that will never end is prayer, no matter the age of your Children.
4) KNOWLEDGE FOUNDATION
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. (Proverbs 24:3-4 KJV)
— You cannot raise your children better than what you know.
— A quack Parent will do much harm than quack Doctors.
— You must learn about children, Parenting, raising Children by age, by sex, by seasons, the act of motherhood and fatherhood.
— Learn about Children according to their gender, boys and girls.
— Learn about your Children about their ages. Toddlers (age 0-3),preschoolers(age 4-5),Grade schoolers (6-8)Preteen(9-12)Teenagers(13-19)adult Children(20 and above)
— Get good books about parenting, boys, girls, Toddlers, preteen, Teenagers, adult Children etc.
— Attend parenting seminar, organize one in your church, office, NGO, School etc
— Your Children may not rise more than the level of your knowledge
