Lecturer reportedly slaps student into coma
According to reports, a lecturer at the Kogi state university slapped a female student into coma.
The lecturer identified as Mr A A Zubairu, who is said to also head the Computer Science department of the school, was said to have slapped the female student who fainted and had to be rushed to the hospital when she didn’t wake up immediately.
Mr Zubairu is reportedly known for slapping students at will, without any reprimand from the university’s management.
According to Facebook user, Mohammed A. Halilu, who shared the story, here’s what happened on Wednesday, November 2:
Mr A A Zubairu (HOD computer science kogi state polytechnic Lokoja). Is at it again!! The picture below shows the student assaulted by HOD computer science this morning.
The student fainted and was hospitalized in the the kogi poly clinic after receiving a heavy slap from A A Zubairu whose steady habit is to be slapping student at any slight chance. The polytechnic management should please wake up for this ugly trend.”
This is a serious call to all parents who don’t and doesn’t want to know what their children are passing through in school except to pay the school fees and provides everything needed. Caring for your children is more than paying their school fees, what about their welfare in school? You need to know all this. This type of behaviour is now common in our schools, where lecturers and teachers assaults their student on daily basis. This happens in nursery, primary, secondary schools and also in our tertiary institutions. Parents protect your children’s right and be wathful.
This heartless and wicked lecturer must be punished by the body concern(law enforcement). May God give the student a quick recovery.
