Fundamental Laws of Marriage are principles that must be put in place before a marriage can be referred to as “success” before God. God instituted marriage to fulfill His intentions and purposes. Hence, it must be tailored towards His pattern in order to fulfill these purposes. No marriage can become great and fulfilling without Him.
In these series, we shall be teaching you the Fundamental Laws of Marriage which are:
- The Law of Breath of Life:
You must have the breath of life in you if you want your marriage to be what God intends it to be. Your marriage and your family cannot be joyful and peaceful if it lacks the breath of life. Adam was just an ordinary clay until the breath of life came into him.
Marriage will be difficult when God of marriage is not dwelling in your heart. Breath of life is the beginning of life and that of your marriage, that is the reason why singles intending to get married should not consider anybody that does not have the breath of life in him.
Anybody that does not submit to Christ should not be your husband. The first question you should ask before getting married is; is he a child of God? and not just considering his material possession or the certificate that he has. Certificate becomes a mountain if you have it without Christ.
Breath of life makes a man lead in humility and the woman to follow in humility; thus, they will have the best marriage. Without the breath of life, your wife will not be able to advise you and if she cannot advise you, you are getting closer to your grave than you think.
HOW TO HAVE THE BREATH OF LIFE
- Have a genuine encounter with God: This has to do with your personal relationship with God. It must be strong, solid, and cordial. A genuine encounter with God begins when you are genuinely converted from your old Adamic way into the marvelous light of God, thereby becoming a New Creature with the Breath of Life.
Why Must I be Genuinely Converted?
You must be genuinely converted because;
- It takes a genuinely converted soul to obey the injunctions of the Bible on marriage.
- It takes Christ-likeness to have a successful home.
- It takes the presence of God to have a good home as sinners cannot obtain His presence.
- Blissful home becomes almost impossible without genuine conversion
- Become a Bible student and make His word your lifestyle.
- Be ready and willing to obey His instructions
- Be committed to Prayer.
