There is this misconception about motherhood which most people believe is the only way for all women but in reality not all women can be considered as a mother. There is more to being a mother than just carrying a baby for 9 months and entering the delivery room to give birth to the baby.3 IMPORTANT VIRTUES OF A MOTHER
There was a course i did while in school and we had a topic then, “WHEN IS A MOTHER A MOTHER”?
We saw it then as funny because the general believe is every woman is a mother- be it already one or a potential mother but in the reality, not every woman is a mother. Before you argue and have me crucified, just follow patiently.3 IMPORTANT VIRTUES OF A MOTHER
To be a mother, there are things that must be in place, biologically as God made it to be; all women have a womb to carry foetus but not all women can mother a child. Motherhood is about responsibility and that is why today, you see women throwing a-day old baby away into the trash.
A MOTHER according to the dictionary is a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth. A Mother is one that brings up (a child) with care and affection.3 IMPORTANT VIRTUES OF A MOTHER
Motherhood is the state or experience of having and raising a child. Giving birth to and raising a child is an example of motherhood.
Motherhood is a noun as well as a verb which makes it an action word. The action in it makes MOTHERHOOD.
The ABC involved in Motherhood are;
A- AFFECTIONATE: a true mother doesn’t just give birth but she is so loving, devoted, committed, tender, and optimistic and she never gives up on her children. She is always available and expresses fondness towards her children.
B- BLESSED: she sees her children as a great blessing from the Lord and she is always proud of them. She never sees them as worst mistake of her life.3 IMPORTANT VIRTUES OF A MOTHER
C- Cherish: she loves these gifts God has blessed her, she holds them dear to her heart, cares and protect them lovingly
