EXPANDING YOUR HORIZON AS A LADY

Horizon according to the dictionary is the limit of a person’s knowledge, experience, or interest.

The level of your knowledge determines how many opportunities you will attract and enjoy in life. Do not be among those ladies whose hairstyle on their heads is much more expensive than the knowledge in their brain. You must use every avenue to seek the right knowledge. This is key to success and achievement in every department of your life.

For a man to value you so much, you must have some information loaded in you. You must carry great things and substance even for the world to need you.

There are many ladies today who are one-sided and narrow-minded. They only focus on one aspect of life and allow other aspects to suffer greatly.

Somebody said it is better to have the knowledge you may not need now than not to have it when you need it desperately

Your motive must be to LEARN, UNLEARN AND RELEARN

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it. Proverbs 9:9, 12

Please note that your performance is critical to your level of knowledge. Your functionality is dependent on your level of knowledge and how you receive and react to what life throws at you depends also on your level of knowledge.

Your knowledge must not be restricted to spiritual matters only, your field of study, marriage or your line of interest. You need to have relevant and useful information about many things: spiritual, financial, social, physical, academic, career, marital, health, domestic, dress sense, wealth creation, etc.

The following is the category of ladies as it relates to knowledge acquisition:

  1. Knowledge Averse: They hate knowledge and never make an effort to seek for it.
  1. No knowledge: They have opportunities to know and learn but they place no value on knowledge acquisition. Probably, they don’t know the importance of it.
  1. Little Knowledge: The quest for knowledge is very low. They make no extra effort and see knowledge as expensive.
  1. Much Knowledge: This category seeks knowledge but they may be the type that will think they know better and don’t need to have a quest for more. Even if you know, there must be room to learn more and improve on yourself.
  1. Much more knowledge: This category seeks knowledge and makes effort daily to broaden their horizon. Learning is continuous for them.

WHAT DETERMINES YOUR ATTITUDE TO KNOWLEDGE

Your resolution and belief system

Your association

Your disposition to learning

Your exposure and level of enlightenment

Your value for time management

Your upbringing and background

Your vision on life and motive for learning

 

HOW TO BROADEN YOUR HORIZON

Identify your areas of no or low knowledge: career, relationship, domestic, character management, time management, etc.

Admit the inadequacy and deficit: when you are truthful to yourself, it goes a long way to your next level.

Pray about those areas of development that you have identified.

Write out your growth vision and plans: you need to document your growth vision and plan so that you can measure your level of achievement.

Discover every obstacle to your growth vision and plan: cutting off excessive time wasters, friends that will not help you and activities that will slow you down like watching TV too much, talking too.much and hovering around social platforms too much.

Make deliberate efforts to work through the plan and actualize your vision: You need to sacrifice pleasure for knowledge acquisition. It is worth your resources and time.

You must have a book you are reading per time, seminar you must attend, courses you must undertake, robust mind you must be intermeddling with and great minds you are brainstorming with.

Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom. Proverbs 18:1

Write out the step by step moves of what to do daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly to move you closer to your desired growth ladder.

Be accountable to a mentor or a coach: Someone who will work with you through the process and you will be glad you did.
