The lord has purposefully placed us as watchmen and gatekeepers over our household because there are beautiful treasures in our families that mustn’t be joked with. He has placed you in that family as guard, a special watchman that knows how to win battles on her knees. Even if you are a busy Mom, it is an opportunity to have a great prayer life and hold forth for your family. Through prayers, you can achieve great and mighty things. Impossinilities will be made possible.
The major duty of a gatekeeper is to keep the gate, and ensure that no unwarranted guest is permitted in. You are to invite and enthrone the king of glory in your home and His presence will put away every unwanted guest.
It is part of every good woman’s duties to stand in the gap for her husband and children and see them fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives.

A woman of God once said that “ if you cannot affect the lives of your husband and children positively, you are a failure. ” God is a God of purpose. Your presence in your home is His plan and He wants you to fulfill that purpose to establish his Kingdom on earth.

Be a helpmeet, a mother, a counselor, a role model, a mentor, and a pastor. All of these can only be actualized through PRAYER.
