Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house (Proverbs 24:27 KJV).
Vocational and career success will definitely affect your family life positively. That is why you must prepare vocationally as you get ready for your marriage. In fact in the scripture above, the Bible commands us to first prepare our work and make it ready before going ahead to get married. Since money is needed in marriage and it is our works that can bring money into the family, we must get our job prepare before going ahead to start a family life. This you can do in the following ways:
- Discover purpose: Discover your purpose, which states why you were born? In other words, which problems were you created to solve? Please, there must be a purpose before partnership; you must know who you are before you join your life with somebody else.
- Have a great vision: Don’t just have a purpose but turn your purpose to vision; think big, plan big, think of what to do, pass your vision across to your intending partner to marry it with his or her vision and together move on to fulfil them.
- Be committed to your vision: Don’t just have a vision, be committed to it. Make every move to make it work; be persistence on it. Building a prosperous family life depends on how you fulfil your vision.
- Be committed to excellence in service: Turn your vision to excellent service. Your product and services must be done excellently to bring success your way and prosperity into your family.
- Be committed to training: Continue to grow, improve, become better by getting adequate training and make your home a place of success.
