Tips for Dancing With Spouse

Please remember that you don’t need to be a dancer before you dance with your spouse. The aim is just to enhance intimacy with your spouse and to keep fit. Remember also that you are not in a dancing competition, hence, don’t do it with a competition spirit to know the best dancer among the two of you. How to enjoy dancing together:

1. Talk about it. Discuss about dancing together with your spouse. Talk about its benefits and talk about godly music you both enjoy.
2. Wear proper shoes. You can be barefooted or wear shoes that have short heel.
3. Relax. Your body will dance it best in a relaxed state. Take a step a few deep breaths and clear your mind. Teach yourself to unwind to the music.
4. Smile. Smile as you dance together, this is an expression of amusement, joy, pleasant and happiness. If you smile as you dance, your spouse will get the feeling that you enjoy what you are doing and you love him or her.
5. Hold each other. Dance apart for some time, and then hold each other as you dance the best dance of your life. Look at each other’s eyes and kiss intimately as you dance.
6. Communicate as you dance. You can stop a while (still holding each other) discuss romantically, appreciate each other’s body, outlook, deeds, etc. praise each other. Then continue your dancing in a more romantic way
7. Clothing. Wear comfortable clothing
8. Make sure the dance floor is not sticky or slippery.
9. Never come up with an excuse to not to dance- you can do it no matter your age, your caliber or position.
10. Destroy perfectionist spirit, dance; don’t look for perfection, it is for fun.
