How To Become A Woman Of Great Achievements
-By Bisi Adewale
The life of a woman involves so many parts, but I will focus on four important ones here that a woman must handle wisely if she must make great achievements in Life, they are:
1. WHO SHE SERVES
Your relationship with God as a woman is very important to the extent that it determines how your life will be now and in the future.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates Proverbs 31:30, 31.
What to do How To Become A Woman Of Great Achievements How To Become A Woman Of Great Achievements How To Become A Woman Of Great Achievements
- Surrender your totality to God. Stop struggling with him for the control of your life; follow the path of righteousness.
- Serve God; don’t be useless, work in his house. Moreover, set good examples for your children.
- Be a covenant practitioner: preach the gospel, tithe and give generously.
- Be prayerful, study the Bible diligently, fast often and live a holy life.
- WHO SHE IS
Your relationship with yourself is also important. If you don’t love your person you can never maximize your life. How To Become A Woman Of Great Achievements How To Become A Woman Of Great Achievements
What to do
- Change what you say about yourself.
- Change your belief about yourself.
- Develop a better character (like humility, diligence, meekness and so on).
- Deal with worry, fear, anxiety, depression, anger and so on.
- Take time to rest and relax; live a balanced life.
- Strike a balance between work and life.
- Praise God always; don’t grumble against him or complain.
- Dress well to give glory to God. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple (Proverbs 31:22).
– Appear neatly and avoid rioting colour combinations; it is irritating when a woman looks shabbily. Dress well and be moderately fashionable.
– Have nothing to do with see-through dresses – clothes that expose cleavages, tight dresses that reveal under wears and buttocks, showing private parts.
- HOW SHE RAISES HER CHILDREN
The way a woman raises her children also determines how her life will be in the future. Three ways people raise children:
- Child breeding: This is the way animals raise their own children without planning, adequate provision and care. That is what some parents do too.
- Child rearing: This is the way people raise animals they want to kill, eat or sell. There will be provision, but no training, focus, plan, prayer. That is the same way some women raise their own children. They pay school fees but they have no time to train their children; no vision, teaching, or prayer; it is about rearing.
- Child training: This is the biblical injunction to raise godly children.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6. This involves teaching, leading, mentoring, loving, praying, commanding, caring, providing until Christ is formed in the child. This is the way to raise your children. The question is: do you breed, rear or train? The woman who stops at breeding and rearing will regret; only a trainer will be very happy tomorrow. Be a trainer (Proverbs 22:6).WHAT SHE DOES
The career, profession or vocation of a woman is very important to her life and destiny.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff Proverbs 31:19.
What to do
1. Have a purpose: know who you are born to be and what you are born to do.
- Develop yourself to fulfill your purpose.
3. Pursue your purpose. Never be a liability.
4. Work diligently. Don’t be lazy.
5. Focus on excellence in the achievement of your purpose.5. WHO SHE MARRIES
Apart from her relationship with God, no other person can affect the life of a woman so much like the person she marries. Marriage can make or mar the life of a woman. That is why every woman should take her marriage very serious.
What to do
1. Choose your marriage partner carefully.
2. Deal with anti-marriage characters.
3. Prepare excellently for domestic life; learn to cook and make home (Proverb 12:4).
4. Develop deep knowledge about marriage and family life to relate with in-laws, train children, and manage money. Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands (Proverbs 14:1).
5. Learn what it takes to relate with the man you will marry as a brother, friend, lover, husband, leader, father and joint heirs with Christ (1 Peter 3:1-6).
