Counsellors say when couple’s divorce and re-marry there are four miserable people instead of two. So, why spread misery?
The plan of God is for your marriage to be romantic, enjoyable, interesting, exciting, loving and problem free. In fact, God created marriage to solve Adams’s problems, not to aggravate them. It was when the enemy penetrated that he removed harmony from matrimony and replaced it with agony.
Marriage is not meant to be a battlefield of words; it was not meant to be a survival-of-the-fittest environment. It was conceived to be a place of love, care and understanding; a place of romance, intimacy, fun, passion and excitement.
One thing I want you to know is that no marriage becomes the best naturally. It is the duty of parties involved to work it out. Somebody said, “If marriage was made in heaven, it must be built on earth”.
Like any garden that can easily grow wild weed and destroy good seed if it is not carefully tendered, marriages need to be cultivated and carefully cared for. In fact, it must be defended with all our ability.
We need to FIGHT FOR IT NOT IN IT. There are lots of battles to fight in defence of our home than turning the “guns” against our partners.
Fight for your marriage. Do everything to make it work; never make it a war. Do everything humanly possible to make your home a success! No matter how successful you are at work, you are a total failure if you are a drop-out at home.
