Many people have made a shipwreck of their marriages, not because the devil is stronger or wiser than their God but because they were inadequately prepared for marriage. Many marriages were destroyed even before yes, I do. Lack of preparation is the cheapest way to destroy a home.
Preparation has many advantages; its absence leads to all manners of evil.

- Preparation prevents poor performance. Adequate preparation will prevent you from performing poorly in marriage. It will prevent you from performing lower than a husband, wife, father or mother should do.
- Preparation gives boldness in marriage. You will be very bold to face every situation in family life. You are aware they will come and you are ready for them through preparation.
- Preparation leads to distinction in marriage. Preparation leads to distinction instead of failure; it makes your marriage different and your journey joyful.
- Preparation makes a genius out of a dummy. You don’t need to be a first-class graduate to be a first-class wife or husband. All you need is preparation. Prepare very well. You don’t need a degree to be a great father or mother.
- Preparation gives direction. Adequate preparation gives direction. You know what to expect and how to handle them.
- Preparation brings peace of mind. Peace of mind comes with good preparation. It eliminates worry because you know what to do.
- Preparation is the mother of success. It ultimately brings success in life and marriage. Many wish for success, many hope for it, thousands wait for it; it is only people that prepare for it that will get it
Success in marriage is not a product of wishful thinking, hope, or prayer alone. It is a product of adequate preparation, planning, training and capacity building.
