MARRIAGE TOOLS SERIES WITH PASTOR BISI ADEWALE

In continuation of tools of great marriage series, another tool to make your marriage great and last for a lifetime is

Homely Legs:

 Proverbs 4:26-27

26: “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

27: Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”

Another pertinent tool to ensure a great marriage is Homely Legs. Your legs can become a great tool to build your marriage if it is homely and homebound after work. Let the desire to be home with your family always preoccupy your mind every time.

There once lived a couple in India who were married for over 45 years. Their marriage was full of bliss because the man’s heels were always onward home. At exactly 5:30 pm daily the woman was ever at the door with a cup of coffee to welcome her husband who never disappointed her. This helped them build a great marriage that they could not stand to be apart for a long period even when their children separately invited them to their different homes for holidays.

As a responsible spouse, you should live a triangular life; Home–Work–Church–Home, and let your spouse know your present location per time when you are not in any of these three places. Give comprehensive information about your movement to your spouse and do not leave him/her to guess.

Don’t be the type of husband that your children get to see your face only on weekends. Endeavour to always be home and at a good time when the children are still awake. Spend quality time with your spouse alone. Be always available at the right time to help your spouse and the family at large.

Don’t be a Night Crawler; Clubbing, partying, hanging out with friends when you ought to be with your family easily destroy a home no matter how good and great it is, so discipline your legs to be a home builder.

Homely Legs will help you build trust, bond, care and an unquenchable fire of love which will culminate to a great marriage.
