 Many marriages that are destroyed today would have been saved if the people involved can be a little patient with each other.HOW TO OVERCOME IMPATIENCE IN MARRIAGE

To be patient means to have the ability to wait calmly and accept delays without becoming angry or anxious.

It also means to have the ability to accept trouble and other people’s annoying behavior without complaining or becoming angry.

In marriage, we definitely have reasons to be angry with our spouses and this can make emotions to run high but with patience, we can work things out.

 

When to be Patient:

You need to learn to be patient in the following areas:

  • With our spouses’ weaknesses. Note that you are not also perfect.
  • Be patient with each other’s natural differences.
  • With your wife when she is pregnant.
  • With your husband when he is cash-strapped.
  • When your spouse is sick.
  • With a crying baby.
  • With your wife when she is not ready on time for the outing or she spends ‘hours’ in the bathroom.
  • Husband; be patient when your food is not ready on time.
  • Be patient with an angry partner.
  • Be patient when your expectations are not being met.
  • Be patient in failure.
  • With your little children.
  • Be patient with in-laws and family members.
  • Be patient with each other’s weaknesses and inadequacies.

What Impatience Does:

  • Impatience is the mother of anger and angry outbursts.
  • It is the mother of bitterness.
  • It is the mother of strife and all family battles.
  • Bad marriage. It is at the root of most bad marriages.
  • Impatience is the reason many divorce courts are populated
