3 FACES OF MARRIAGE-There are 3 faces of marriage which are very crucial if you want to enjoy your family life. I want to examine these three faces of marriage here carefully so that you may know how to handle them successfully:
1) GETTING MARRIED
Getting married rightly is the first face of great marriages, if you get it right here; there is high possibility that your 3 faces of Marriage will be alright. This face consist of three important aspects:
–Get yourself ready: Getting yourself ready for marriage is very important in your marital journey. In fact, it is the first step to a great marriage. It involves getting to know God directly, serving Him, working on your character and changing your attitudes.
— Choose wisely: Getting married also involve choosing wisely, connecting yourself rightly with a destiny builder and laying solid foundation together for a better life and stronger family life
— Prepare for marriage: It also involves getting prepared for Marriage. Most people are known to prepare for wedding, only few prepare for marriage. Preparation for marriage involves learning about your spouse, reading books, learning marriage-building character, unlearn bad habits and relearn old things you’ve forgotten that can make marriage work.
2) REMAIN MARRIED: The second face of the three faces of marriage is remaining married. Many people got married but only few remain married till the end. This face also involve three principal things:
— Contentment: Be content with whosoever ever you married. You will see people more younger,more beautiful,richer,better,stronger and wiser than your spouse, but be content with whosoever you married
— Commitment: Your total commitment to your marriage is another way to keep you married, you have to be totally bias in favour of your spouse and doggedly committed to making the marriage work
— Communication: when communication departs from a marriage,frustration is the next point of call for that marriage. So, you need to do everything to build effective communication system in your marriage.
3) ENJOYING MARRIAGE
I totally agree with Some one that said “getting married is good,remaining married is better,enjoying marriage is the best” To get your three faces of marriage right, you must know how to enjoy your marriage .They are:
— Walking in Wisdom: You have to learn to walk in wisdom in your marriage and build your home based on deep knowledge of God
— Walk in Love: You must also walk in love. Love your spouse with all your heart ;demonstrate to him or her that you do
— Walk in kindness: There no better way to walk in love than to walk in kindness.Walking in kindness means to be kind to your spouse always. To care,support and be patience with the one you married.
