12 Wrong Reasons For Marriage part2
Many people want to get married for various reasons but some of these reasons are wrong. In this chapter, I will expose some of them so that they do not form your decisions on marriage. They can only produce a marriage with regrets.
Position: Many get married to some people because of the person’s present position. For example, almost all sisters in the fellowship will desire to marry the president of their fellowship. They have forgotten that A PRESIDENT OF THE FELLOWSHIP MAY NOT BE A RESIDENT OF HEAVEN. Never marry somebody because of his or her position because that POSITION may become an OPPOSTION.
Lust: Many singles cannot differentiate between sexual attraction (Lust) and love; hence they go into marriage based on sexual attraction (Lust). Any marriage based on lust will lead to regret. Many “lust professors” disguise as “love professors”.

Talent. Some singles desire to marry a particular person because of the person’s talent or ability. That is why we see many brothers scrambling to marry the praise worship leader or sisters running after the lead guitarist or even the choir master. Marriage should not be based on what the man or woman can do; it should be based on who he is.
Sex. It is not a new thing to hear some men say, “I will marry her because she is good in bed”. Association. For the mere fact that somebody is a close friend does not make him or her your partner. A good friend may not be a good spouse. Take your time to seek God’s face, before you turn that friendship to a life time commitment.
Never marry for the wrong reason.
