MARITAL CHALLENGES ARE NOT FOREVER

God created marriage to be enjoyed. He created it for deep intimacy. He actually made it eliminate loneliness, build companionship, unity, strength, comradeship, joy, sexual fulfilment and laughter.
“And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him” (Genesis 2:18 KJV).
In fact, marital joy is not a choice; it is compulsory as the Lord commanded it.
“Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun”( Ecclesiastes 9:9 KJV).
If your marriage is not joyful, something is wrong. If you are not happy in your marriage, it is not fulfilling its purpose. Then you will need to rise to pray and seek the face of God who can change all things by His power.
It is not the will of God for you to feel at home at work and now feel at work at home. It is not the will of God for you not to feel like going back home after work. The plan of God for your marriage is joy. You can’t afford not to have it.
So call on God to intervene in your marriage. Are you tired of your marriage? Is your spouse really hurting you? Are you thinking of divorce or your spouse is asking for one? Are you feeling that you married wrongly or wished you married your ex?
You didn’t marry wrongly. You can still make this marriage work and enjoy your home forever.
There are two things to do:
- SEEK WISDOM
Get the wisdom of God. Get knowledge of what marriage and family life is all about. Understand your spouse and what he or she wants. Don’t call it quit; don’t give up. Learn new things and relearn old things you’ve forgotten. Unlearn habits and characters that make marriage very difficult for you. - PRAY AGGRESSIVELY
Don’t surrender your marriage to the power of the enemies. Pray and don’t give up on your spouse and marriage. Don’t quit because quitters never win but pray.
