11 DANGERS OF POOR COMMUNICATION IN MARRIAGE

Communication is the soul of all human relationships. Without it, there is practically no way to make a relationship work. Poor communication in marriage can lead to so many issues.

  1. CONFLICT IS SURE: Poor communications can cause rifts between partners that are hard to fix. No one can fix rifts in a relationship without effective communication.
  2. DISSATISFACTION: It can create a sense of dissatisfaction, confusion, restlessness and fear between partners.
  3. SUSPICION: It can also lead both partners to wonder if the other person is being faithful or whether he might have found someone else.
  4. BREAKING COMMITMENT: Failing to communicate regularly at the very least can cause people in a committed relationship to feel less connected to one another. It is not important for married people to always agree with one another. However, each partner is expected to express themselves clearly and listen deeply to each other. They should strive to understand each other.
  5. ANGER: Poor communication can generate anger and bitterness in marriage. That is why efforts must be made to make communication effective.
  6. MARRIAGE BREAKDOWN: Nothing destroys marriage like poor communication. It makes the marriage poor.
  7. DISCONNECTION: Physical and emotional disconnection are sure when communication is very poor in marriage. For bonding and connection in marriage, couples must work on their communication skills and make it effective.
  8. BAD PARENTING WORK: Communicating improperly or insufficiently with your spouse and children can cause your bond with them to diminish. Without having regular and open channels of communication with parents, children can feel that they are lacking guidance and support in their lives. This can affect their self-esteem negatively. It can also make them have no sense of direction or purpose in life. Poor communication with children can push them to dangerous activities like drinking alcohol, doing drugs, having unprotected sex and unhealthy relationships.
  9. THIRD-PARTY PENETRATION: Poor communication can allow third parties like friends and family members to penetrate a marriage and family.
  10. POSSIBILITY OF INFIDELITY: Poor communication can create conflicts and push couples out of their marriages. Unfortunately, strange women and men tend to use words better. They use sweet words with tender loving care to win their hearts.
  11. POSSIBILITY OF DIVORCE: Poor communication is the foundation of all divorce cases. Though it will never be mentioned in court, it is the real culprit. There is no problem you can no solve if you can communicate effectively.
