Killers of Peace in Marriage Pt 1

Jesus came to bring peace into the world, our lives and homes. He came to bring battles to an end that is why we call Him the PRINCE OF PEACE- (Isaiah 9:6)
But despite this, many couples are living as if in battle field, a lot of homes are in shambles, a lot of people are just enduring their marriage, many are divorcing, many former soul mates are now ordinary housemates. In fact, some are now cell mates, living as if they are in the same prison cell.
I want us to expose things that destroys peace at home, things that turns jolly friends of yesteryears to sworn-enemies of today. Before we do that, let check types of marriage in the world today.
TYPE OF MARRIAGE
? Peaceful marriages. These are marriages that are full of love, romance, joy, intimacy, care, attention, affection, forgiveness, oneness and togetherness. This is what God want marriages to be. This is the kind of marriage that glorifies God, edifies men and gives adequate room for good parenting and progress. In peaceful marriage, couples are SOUL MATES.
? Plastic Marriages. In these kinds of marriage, couples are not friends, and they are not enemies. They are just existing together. Effective communication is dead. Togetherness, oneness, love, intimacy and bonding are strange grammar. At this stage, couples are just HOUSE MATES or ROOM MATES and nothing more.
? Battlefield Marriage. When plastic marriage is not given attention to; it grows to become a battle field marriage, where all “weapons of war” is been used to destroy each other. It is the worst kind of marriage anybody can have, it involves offences, unforgiveness, vengeance’s, hatred, attack and counter attack, solo life, domestic strike actions, etc. At this stage, couples are just CELL MATE.
