Courtship – It’s Duration And The Termination
-Bisi Adewale
“Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled; but whore-mongers and adulterers God will judge”. Hebrews 13:4
Courtship is the period between the time a lady agrees to marry a man and the time they eventually go to the altar.Courtship period is very important. It is a period when intending couples get to know each other in preparation for a colorful wedding and glorious marriage. And it is a period when intending couples must be very careful because many people have fallen into the error of pre-marital sex during this period.
IT’S DURATION
Scripturally, no time period is specified for courtship. But courtship should not be too short or too long. We advise that courtship should be at least for six months and should not be allowed to exceed two years. But this is not a law.
END OF A COURTSHIP
Courtship, unlike marriage, can be broken. A broken courtship is better than a broken home.

4.Divine directives
5.Elderly counsel
6.Absences of peace, love, communication and agreement
7.Spiritual dryness
8.Immorality
9.Falsehood
10.Backsliding
11.Wrong foundation
12.Unfaithfulness and Death of either partner.
