WINNING INVISIBLE BATTLES OF YOUTH LEADERS
Pastor Yomi Obadimeji
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6).
— Most youth leaders lack a vital knowledge of what it takes to be a victorious youth leader
— They never realize that youth leadership is a spiritual work, not secular.
— Youth leaders are unaware that most battles they face in Church originated from the realm of supernatural; they are invisible and not physical.
— Most Youth leaders are not aware of the fact that the battles they are confronting are often from the realm of the spirit. That is why they fight humans instead of the spirit behind it.
Let’s consider what Jesus did when he saw the man of Gadarenes.
 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes
 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones”.
— Jesus didn’t say the man was having psychological problems or acute depression.
— He didn’t say the man needed a rehab. He recognized the spirit behind it and dealt with it.
 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
 And he asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many” (Mark 5:6-9 KJV).
THE BATTLE IS DEEPER THAN YOU THINK
 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places .
 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
— When you see unusual things happenings around your Youth in the Church, don’t just think it is physical.
— Note that demonic forces are against the youth in the church, he does not want youth to grow up to become vibrant adults in the Church.
— Learn to address the spiritual side of it before you go ahead and do what you need to do physically.

USE YOUR SPIRITUAL WEAPONS
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV
 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
