Marriage Killers 1

– Bisi Adewale

“Catch us the foxes the little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes’’ SOS 2:15

The rate of divorce is becoming so alarming that we need to examine its causes and how to curtail it; things that cause divorce, bad marriage and separation are what we called marriage killers. They are:

1.Ignorance. What people do not know about marriage destroys it earlier than anything. Ignorance is the mother of foolishness and foolishness is the number one enemy of progress. When people fail to learn about marriage and how to make it work, they cannot but make a mess of it. (Hosea 4:6)

2.Unforgiving Spirit. Offence must come. There is no way we can work together without offending or displeasing each other at one time or the other. When they come we must learn to forgive. Unforgiveness is a killer of marriage.(Matt. 6:14-15)

-Be content with your spouse

-Communicate and settle your misunderstanding amicably

-Avoid any situation that may lead to adultery

-Accept your spouse the way he or she is

-Believe that, what you are looking for outside is loaded in your spouse with peace and

-Seek Godly and professional counsel.
