Like it is well known, the teenage period is one of the most difficult of everyone’s life; time people are struggling with who they are, their identity, how the world accept their person and they are just bothered about every little detail. They want to create a niche for themselves, something everybody must know them with and so a lot go on in the mind of an average teenager. There are competitions here and there, inferiority complex and if this is not well managed for them it could be detrimental with time.HOW TO ENJOY A TEENAGER
Most of them become rebellious and very hard to control because of their kind of upbringing. Some parents have failed seriously in this aspect because they used the wrong method of parenting to train them as a child, so becoming a teenager, they are now hard to deal with. Every time a teen misbehaves is not a time for you to hit him/her. In many situations, all they are looking for is attention to see if you truly care or to just create a scene and if this is wrongly handled, it could go bad.HOW TO ENJOY A TEENAGER
It is very important that parents understand that training a child is different from abusing a child. Beating your teenage child to the point of inflicting injury on him/her is not training but a serious abuse and anytime such child sees the injury, he/she becomes bitter and in some cases want a revenge. But the funny thing is their form of revenge is to do things that will cause you agony. They prefer to make the parent sad as a form of revenge.
I’ve watched a lot of parents mismanaging their children and one can only wonder where they got such kind of training from. Listen, a child you have not instructed through training over time you are not permitted to beat anyhow, that will be tantamount to child abuse. “Training Up” as the Bible puts it takes patience, the child will make mistake and you will have to correct until they are able to behave well but if as a child you didn’t do it correctly, you have to be cautious in dealing with them as a teenager. At this stage wisdom is required.
