You will agree with me that the largest room in the world is room for improvement.  I asked myself; “how can I occupy this room”? Then I realised no one can fully occupy the room. I’m part of the whole, you are part, we are all part of what makes the room called “Room For Improvement.” I need you, you need me and we all need one another to survive.
A lesson we can learn from the life of a Scientist is that once a Scientist comes up with an hypothesis (A research work or experiment that is not yet proven) all the other Scientists will come together to see how it works, if there is any harmful effect at the long run, and how to improve and perfect such hypothesis.
Electricity that we use today started from the discovery of a charge. It was later improved upon by tireless effort from different Scientists to produce electricity; which gives light today, and further work, it was used to make electronics and other electrical appliances.  Mobile phones, calculators, computers, automobiles, to mention but a few were achieved by discoveries and joint effort from different Scientists.
The bible says we know in part, 1st Corinthians 13:12b. I have come to realise that in our Society today, I, me, myself syndrome is so rampant.  We do not give room to others to express their thoughts, feelings,  or even experience on certain issues.
we believe our idea is the best and so, we shut others out of the room. Little wonder our society is where it is today. One of the major crisis we have with our neighbours started as a result of the fact that some of us are so self-centered that we do not want other people’s idea to count. In our businesses, we refuse to take to the advice of our co-workers, Landlords don’t see tenants opinion as meaningful and members advice is nothing to Pastors. Then how do we occupy the largest room of improvement? This is not to say that you take every advice without filtering, but to give other’s opinion a second thought.
Don’t quarrel with your neighbour or friends that says, “let’s try it this way”, but rather give his or her opinion a second and critical look.
No one is an island of knowledge, we need ourselves to be the best and occupy the largest room in the world.
